In 2016, Williams supported 25 United Way campaigns, raising more than $4 million in total contributions to further education, income, and health initiatives in local communities.
Williams has a long history of supporting United Ways across the country. In Tulsa alone, Williams has raised more than $1 million for 27 consecutive years. The company’s employees, retirees, and board members contribute to United Ways, with Williams providing a dollar-for-dollar match for pledges and matches for fundraisers according to Williams’ guidelines.
In response to Hurricane Harvey in August 2017, Williams contributed $500,000 to the United Way of Greater Houston’s flood relief fund. We also deployed direct assistance efforts to our nearly 900 employees in Houston and the surrounding areas in the Gulf who were in need as a result of this unprecedented event.
Williams’ community support is guided by a passionate and engaged Foundation Board, which funds programs to engage employees in volunteerism, strengthen communities where we do business, and build trust and partnerships with communities across the country.
